2020 Flags For Heroes

In early May 2020, we wanted to honor the members of our community during the pandemic. We decided to start our display of flags to honor these heroes of our community and it grew into so much more. It began as a joint effort between Clayton Rotary Club and Clayton Mid-Day Rotary Club. Soon, The Rotary Club of Central Johnston County wanted to join us in June 2020, and a second location in Smithfield was added. Because of rules of the pandemic, we couldn’t hold a formal ceremony, but many people who sponsored flags stopped by and raised the flags they sponsored for their heroes. We had a lot of support from our First Responders who helped raise the flags and honor the heroes.
