Back to School Shopping Spree – 2024

Our Club likes to give back to the schools in our community. One of Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus is Basic Education and Literacy, so helping our local students is important to us.

On Monday, August 19, 2024, we invited school Principals and staff to meet us at Walmart in Clayton for a Back-to-School Shopping Trip on us!

Club Youth Services Chair Eddie Price, Membership Chair Michelle Sanders, Secretary/President-Nominee Greg Adamson, Community Service Chair Valerie Weaver, and member Carrie Walker were on hand to help!

We gave each school $500 to spend on anything they needed/wanted. The following schools received the fun shopping trip:

• Clayton High School

• Clayton Middle School

• Cooper Academy

• East Clayton Elementary School

• Powhatan Elementary School

• Riverwood Elementary School

• Riverwood Middle School

• West Clayton Elementary School
