Clayton Rotary Club was chartered on March 27, 1925. We are a diverse group of 70+ business and professional men and women of varying ages and races. We are part of Rotary International, which is a worldwide network of 1.4 million leaders, friends, neighbors, and problem-solvers. We see the world as a place where everyone can unite and take action to create lasting change in our communities, in the world, and in ourselves. We are both an international organization and a local community leader. Together, we lead change in our own backyards as well as across the world.
Where does the money go from the flags for heroes event
Flag sponsorships affords the three Rotary Clubs in Johnston County, Clayton Rotary Club, Cleveland School Rotary Club, and Central Johnston County Rotary Club, the ability to give donations to worthy causes both locally and internationally, provide community programs such as mentoring small businesses through Launch JoCo, annual food packaging for Meals of Hope, building wheelchair ramps for disabled, funding service dogs for disabled veterans, and scholarships to local high school seniors among many other projects. Each Club has its own list of projects that they donate to or help. Whichever Club you list on your sponsorship as having sold the sponsorship, receives the funds and would be able to give you more details on what the money is spent on.
