JoCo Flags for Heroes had the first official work day today. Jobs at hand: Mow the field in Clayton, prep it, drill holes and install new flag holders, clean out the existing flag holders, assemble 200 new flags we received, and raise 100 flags in honor of Vietnam Veterans Day, which is Tuesday March 29. The flags will remain in the field for a week! Rotarians, friends and family of Rotary, and new friends who stepped up to help, came out today at 8:00am to get the job done. Thank you to all those who volunteered to help! We’ll have another work day on Saturday, April 30th; if anyone wants to help just let us know! Those who helped worked hard, but had fun too!
