Thursday, June 27, 2024, was a big day and night for Rotary. The Rotary year runs from July 1 – June 30. Our last Club meeting for Rotary Year 2023-2024 was on Thursday, where outgoing President James Woodall (2023-2024) thanked his leadership team and thanked members of our Club, Pondra and Eddie Byrd, who own Rainbow Lanes Family Fun Center where we meet each week, for all they do for our Club. James handed over the gavel to incoming President Randy Berry (2024-2025) after “knighting” him with it, and subsequently, Randy introduced his leadership team. Randy and his leadership team take over at the first meeting after the July 4th holiday on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
That night, Rotary District 7710 held its annual Leadership Installation banquet at the Hope Valley Country Clubs to thank outgoing District Governor Veronica Bent for her excellent leadership and to install the new District Governor Jeff Blass and his Leadership Team as well as the President of every Rotary Club in our District.
We thank our immediate Past President, James Woodall, for his outstanding leadership and are happy to see Clayton Rotary Club incoming President Randy Berry inducted for his Rotary Year 2024-2025. He has great plans for the Club during his year at the helm, and we are excited to see those implemented! We are People of Action, after all.
