A few weeks ago, the Clayton Fire Department was at our Rotary meeting to talk to the Club and show us the new ladder truck. A huge storm and tornado warnings that morning prevented us from seeing the ladder truck in action. Clayton Fire Department invited us to come to Station 1 where we all had breakfast and then we got to play! We got to see all the trucks up close, the ATV, the boat, and they even set up a few areas for us to try out: using a fire hose, using the jaws of life, and going all the way up (100 feet!) on the new ladder truck! Thanks so much to Clayton Fire Chief Barbee, Deputy Chief Matt Sutphin, the firefighters from Station 1, and from Ladder 2 C-Shift for letting us all have
an amazing time.
