The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges those individuals who contribute to, or who have contributions made, in their name of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Every additional $1,000 contribution after that adds a “+ number”. Each recipient receives a pin that is specific to their level of donation. Once a donor has reached the “+” level of having had over $1000 donated, each pin they receive will have single or multiple sapphires or rubies, depending on the amount donated to the Rotary Foundation.

Rotary Foundation recognition points are awarded to donors who contribute to The Rotary Foundation through the Annual Fund or PolioPlus, or who contribute to the sponsorship of a Foundation grant. Donors receive one recognition point for every U.S. dollar contributed to these funds. Donors can transfer Foundation recognition points to others to help them qualify as a Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow.

At our weekly meeting on July 28, 2022, Rotary Foundation Chair Mike Mullins presented two Paul Harris Fellow recognitions to Pondra Byrd and Eddie Byrd. They are not just members of our Club but are the owners of Rainbow Lanes Family Fun Center, where we hold our weekly meetings. Clayton Rotary Club member Adam Capani donated his recognition points to add to both Pondra and Eddie’s points to make each Paul Harris Fellow recognition possible. Adam wanted to do this because of all that Pondra and Eddie do for the Club and the community. Congratulations, Pondra and Eddie. We thank you for your giving hearts, generous contributions to the Rotary Foundation, and dedication to the Club and the community. Thank you to Adam for his generosity and kind heart in honoring his friends in this way.
